What is GDPR?

The Data Protection Act 2018,  is the UK’s implementation of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Reasons why we collect personal data and what do we collect?

We collect and store personal data so that we can successfully deliver the service you require. We will never send you marketing information, unless you have given us permission to do so.

  • Shipping Name – To deliver the items to that person.
  • Delivery address – To allow us to deliver the order to that address.
  • Telephone number – In case of issues with the order or finding the address for delivery and for communicating any issues that may arise with the order.
  • Email address – In order to email you a copy of the invoice and update you on the status of your order.
  • Contact forms – the information you enter into a contact form is emailed to us and we store that for 1 year before it is then deleted.
  • IP address – You can visit our website without giving any details about yourself, however we store access data in server log files. These files will include your IP address.

The types of data collected can be seen in the respective input forms. Mandatory fields are marked as such because the data is necessary for our performance of a contract with you.  By completing these fields you are giving us the legal basis and consent for us to hold and use your data.

 

How long we retain your data

We will store your information until it is no longer needed, after the expiration of statutory preservation duties, either upon you deleting your account or you sending us a request via info@soltrino.com. Should you not access your account for a consecutive period of 3 years, we may delete your details. Should you then want to use your account, you will need to create a brand new account.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognise and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

Who Helps Us Process Your Information?

We use a select number of trusted external service providers for certain, processing and/or storage. These providers include (but are not limited to) companies such as payment service providers. Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

All service providers are carefully selected and meet high data protection and security standards. We only share information with them that is required for the services offered.

We want to keep you up to date with information about new ranges, special offers and improvements to our website. When you set your account up, we will ask you if you want to receive this type of marketing information.
